Next phase of Corby town centre

The second phase of Corby town centre regeneration follows hot on the heels of the £40m Willow Place development which opened in October.
The £100m second part of the four-phase scheme will include houses, public spaces, leisure facilities and more shops.

Two further stages in the next 10 years will focus on New Post Office Square and the Oasis Retail Park.

Plans for £100m town development

Another section of a Northamptonshire town could be redeveloped following a £50m overhaul last year.

A plan for a £100m development has been submitted to Corby Borough Council by town centre owners, Land Securities.

The new scheme would see a department store, flats with roof gardens and an entertainment area including a multi-screen cinema built.

If the planning application is approved construction work would start at the end of 2009, Land Securities said.

Corby to receive a £50m makeover

A £50m regeneration landmark buildings project to transform Corby has been given the go-ahead by councillors.

A £32.6m Civic Hub and an £18m 50-metre international pool will be built in the Northamptonshire town as part of the Parkland Gateway development.

The Civic Hub will include a theatre, library and restaurant, while the pool complex could become a regional centre of excellence.
